7 Travel Essentials I Never Leave Home Without

As a travel stylist and retreat organizer, my job is to create experiences that feel seamless, beautiful, and deeply nourishing. Whether I’m guiding women through the blue-washed villages of Greece, the forests of Slovenia, or a quiet coastal sanctuary closer to home, I’ve learned that what you carry with you matters. Not just for practicality, but for peace of mind.
Over the years, I’ve refined my packing list to a few essentials I truly don’t leave home without. These items keep me organized, grounded, and ready to support the women traveling alongside me.
Here’s what’s always in my bag.
1. A Tiny Tote That Holds My Entire Travel Life

My Tiny Tote River is, without exaggeration, my command center. It’s adorable and compact, but somehow fits everything I need within arm’s reach. Inside its thoughtfully designed compartments, I keep passports, boarding passes, retreat itineraries, IDs, and my phone.
When you’re moving through airports with a group, answering questions, and making sure everyone feels calm and cared for, the last thing you want is to dig through a chaotic bag. This tiny tote keeps everything visible and easy.
I love that it’s small enough to carry everywhere — from flights to morning café check-ins — yet structured enough to hold the details of an entire journey.
2. My Toiletry Kit Organizer: A Small Luxury That Makes a Big Difference

There’s something about having your personal rituals intact while traveling that makes the world feel steady.
My toiletry kit organizer is one of those quiet heroes. It has a hook for hanging in hotel bathrooms (which is especially helpful when space is limited), two main compartments, and a front section with designated spots for essentials like my toothbrush, nail clippers, and tweezers.
Everything has its place.
When I arrive at a retreat location — sometimes after 20 hours of travel — I can simply hang it up and instantly feel at home. No unpacking chaos. No searching. Just ease.
It also helps me maintain my self-care routines, which is important when I’m holding space for others.
3. My Cabin Crew Kit: The Pouch That Saves Every Flight

My Cabin Crew Kit from ALOHA Collection is always within reach on flights.
It’s the perfect size — lightweight, compact, and surprisingly spacious. I use it to hold lip balm, essential oils, snacks, charging cables, herbal remedies, and sometimes a small journal.
It keeps everything contained, so I’m not reaching into overhead bins or rummaging through larger bags mid-flight.
There’s also something joyful about using items that are both practical and beautiful. When something looks good, you naturally take better care of it — and yourself.
4. A Soft Scarf That Does Everything

A scarf is never just a scarf.
It becomes a blanket on cold planes, a shawl during morning meditations, a pillow on long drives, or something to wrap around your shoulders when the evening air cools. It's a comfort you can carry.
I often choose one in a neutral tone so it pairs with everything, but more importantly, one that feels soft and familiar.
5. A Journal to Capture the In-Between Moments

Some of the most important parts of travel happen quietly. A conversation over breakfast. A realization during a walk. A feeling you don’t want to forget. I carry a journal not because I write every day, but because I want the option to. When you travel — especially on women’s retreats — things shift internally. Writing helps anchor those changes.
It becomes a record of who you were and who you’re becoming.
6. A Small Personal Comfort Item

This might be an essential oil, a favorite pen, or a piece of jewelry.
For me, it’s usually an essential oil blend that helps me feel grounded. Scent has a powerful way of bringing you back to yourself, even in unfamiliar places.
When you’re supporting groups, holding schedules, and navigating logistics, these small comforts help you stay centered.
7. Presence Above All

If there’s one thing I never leave home without, it isn’t something you can pack. It's my presence. The willingness to be here. To connect. To notice beauty. To support the women who trusted me with their journey.
The bags, organizers, and tools simply make that possible. They remove friction so I can focus on what matters most — the experience itself.
Because in the end, travel isn’t about the things you carry.
It’s about how you carry yourself.
And when you feel organized, supported, and at ease, you can fully step into the magic waiting for you.
