DAY 1 - WELCOME TO THE WILD

Group arrival at El Paso International Airport (set pickup time)

Scenic transfer (4.5 hrs) to Terlingua, gateway to Big Bend

Stop for a memorable welcome dinner in Alpine at Reata Restaurant—a West Texas favorite with bold flavors and warm hospitality

Settle into cozy cabins at Star Dust Big Bend (two beds per room or private upgrades if available)

Evening wine, firelight & reflection under the stars
DAY 2 - CANYONS, CULTURE & HOT SPRINGS MAGIC

Sunrise coffee at Espresso…Y Poco Mas—a local gem with pastries and stunning views

Hike #1: Boquillas Canyon Trail (2 miles round trip, easy)—A peaceful riverside trail where you may find locals selling tamales and handmade souvenirs. Bring small cash and water shoes to wade in the Rio Grande.

Picnic lunch surrounded by canyon beauty

Hike #2: Santa Elena Canyon (1.5 miles round trip, easy)—Do this in the afternoon for golden light that makes the canyon glow.

Late afternoon soak in Big Bend Hot Springs—heat up in the riverside pool and cool off with dips in the Rio Grande (perfect spot for a sunset toast).

Dinner at Chisos Mountains Lodge with sweeping vistas

Private Star Party! After dinner, we’ll gather under Big Bend’s internationally recognized dark skies for an unforgettable Star Party.
✨ Our private astronomer will guide us through the constellations, planets, and deep-sky objects currently visible. Using telescopes (including a smart telescope for color imaging!), we’ll marvel at nebulas, galaxies, and distant worlds during this magical desert night.
DAY 3 - SUMMIT VIEWS & STARRY SKIES

Hike #3: Lost Mine Trail (5 miles round trip, moderate)—Iconic Big Bend hike with jaw-dropping views of Casa Grande and the Chisos Basin. At over 6,000 ft, expect cool temps and crisp air.

Picnic lunch with mountain vistas

Afternoon free time: nap in a hammock, read in the sun, or join a meditative stretching/yoga session under the desert sky.

Dinner & live music at the quirky Starlight Theater in Terlingua
DAY 4 - DESERT ADVENTURES & EPIC OVERLOOKS

Breakfast at Venga

Morning scenic drive along Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive with incredible desert views

Hike #4: Upper Burro Mesa Pour-Off Trail (3.5 miles round trip, moderate)—Bouldering, possible mountain goat sightings, and a dramatic pour-off waterfall.

Picnic lunch in nature

Hike #5: Daniel’s Trail/Ernst Tinaja (1 mile round trip, easy-moderate)—Short but stunning. Pack wine to enjoy at the parking lot post-hike while soaking in the views.

Late afternoon option: return to the Hot Springs for one last soak

Dinner back in Terlingua—laid-back local vibes and delicious desert fare

DAY 5 - ART, COFFEE, & DESERT TOWN VIBES
